The Educational Affairs Committee is a 13-member committee of the University Council, the University’s governing body. Membership consists of 10 elected members from the University Council, two students (one undergraduate and one graduate/professional) elected from the student members of Council, and the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost or an appointed representative. The full committee generally meets two times each fall and spring semester.
The Bylaws of the University of Georgia give authority to the Educational Affairs Committee to, “consider and recommend to the University Council educational policies” and to hear student appeals on academic matters.
