Division of Academic Enhancement

The Division of Academic Enhancement (DAE) strives to achieve student academic success by providing services to support their academic efforts. The Academic Resource Center provides free tutoring for students seeking assistance in English, math, chemistry, reading, writing and ESL. The Academic Resource Center also provides test review sessions, instruction in skills and strategies that promote academic success and academic counseling, including a satellite office in Brumby Hall. The Freshman College Summer Experience, a month long residential experience for regularly admitted first-year students, offers a comprehensive introduction to UGA while earning course credit. DAE also fosters the Early Alert Program, which connects students with academic problems to a wealth of on-campus resources, and the CARE program, which is designed for students who have fallen short of their academic potential and expectations.
