Spring has become one of my favorite seasons--it's a time of celebration for our faculty and staff who have worked hard to improve the lives of UGA's students. Spring is when we recognize the innovative teaching and guidance of our faculty, teaching assistants, and advisors.
2017 Excellence in Teaching Awards Announced
Each year the University of Georgia recognizes graduate students who have demonstrated superior teaching skills and contributed to teaching beyond their own classroom responsibilities through the Excellence in Teaching Awards administered by the Graduate School and the Outstanding Teaching Awards administered by the Office of the Vice President for Instruction.
Student Profile: Alex French
Before a speaker visited his art history class, Alex French had never heard of the small mountaintop town of Cortona, Italy. Alex also wasn’t aware of UGA’s Cortona Program that enables students of many different majors to study abroad in Italy for a semester.
