If you watched the Winter Olympics the last couple of weeks, you saw some intense global competition among athletes. Most impressive were our 17-year-old snowboarding champions Red Gerard and Chloe Kim. The youngest gold medalists in Olympic snowboarding history, their families have supported them their entire lives and pushed them to be their absolute best. It's incredible what 17-year-olds can accomplish when they set their minds to actively pursuing a goal within a structure of encouragement and support.

By now, you should have heard about the Experiential Learning Fair coming up on Feb. 14. But what exactly is experiential learning? How do you satisfy the requirement? And how does it benefit you and position you for success after graduation?
Undergraduate students are invited to participate in the inaugural Experiential Learning Fair to be held in the Tate Center Grand Hall on Feb. 14, 11am-3pm. Co-sponsored by the Office of Experiential Learning, Career Center, and Student Government Association, the event will feature several units and programs from across campus that offer approved courses and non-credit EL activities. Free pizza and refreshments will be served for the first students through the door.

You've probably heard about the Double Dawgs program by now. It's one of the hottest topics on campus--along with our SEC football championship bid. Since the Double Dawgs program launched in August, more than 10,000 people have visited the website and the program listing page has been browsed over 16,000 times. That's an average of over 1,300 views a week!
